- Denplan Care pays for your dentist providing ongoing preventive dental care.
- When you opt for Denplan Care, your dentist will assess your dental health and agree with you a programme of preventive care. Any treatment needed will be carried out before your Denplan Care contract begins.
- You and your dentist then agree a monthly Denplan Care fee which spreads then cost of your ongoing routine and preventive dental care and treatment.

Denplan care covers:
- Routine and preventive dental care from your dentist
- Examinations
- X-rays
- Necessary fillings
- Hygiene treatment (including scale and polishes)
- Preventive dental advice and therapy
- Any necessary extraction
- Periodontal (gum) treatment
- Crowns, bridges, dentures, inlays (excluding laboratory fees)
- Root filling
Denplan care does not cover:
- Laboratory fees / prescriptions
- Any treatment not specified by the dentist in your Contract
- Referral to a specialist and specialist treatment
- Treatment carried out anywhere other than at your registered dentist, except when you need temporary emergency treatment
- Orthodontics, implants, cosmetic treatment
- Sedation fees
Please note: For the dental care you receive under Denplan Care, you are in contract with your dentist. For the Supplementary Insurance you are in contract with Denplan
- Denplan Essentials enables you to budget for the cost of the dental care required to monitor your oral health (covering examinations, X-rays and hygiene treatment), with the additional back-up of Denplan’s worldwide 24-hour Helpline and accident and emergency insurance.
- When you opt for Denplan Essentials, your dentist will determine the number of examinations, hygiene appointments and X-rays you’re likely to need on an annual basis and set the amount of your fixed monthly payment.

Denplan Essentials covers:
- Routine and preventive dental care, as specified by your dentist
- Dental examinations, up to the maximum detailed in your contract
- X-rays
- Scaling and polishing or other hygiene treatment, up to the maximum in your contract
- Preventive dental advice
No assessment appointment is required
Denplan Essentials does not cover:
- The cost of any restorative dental treatments including fillings, crowns, bridges or dentures (at the discretion of your dentist)
- Laboratory fees / prescriptions
- Any treatment not specified by the dentist in your Contract
- Referral to a specialist and specialist treatment
- Orthodontics, implants, cosmetic treatment
- Sedation fees
