Often a better alternative to bridges or dentures, implants are now commonly used to replace missing teeth with a titanium implant screwed into the jawbone. As long as adequate bone is available, they can replace a single tooth or a full set – a full lower set of 12 teeth would just need four implants, while a full upper set would need six.
